These apple chips are so delicious and a great way to use up any apples you may have that need to be eaten. They make a delicous snack option perfect for any lunchboxes and are super simple to make with minimal ingredients
Ingredients
-
1 Pink Lady Apple
-
¾ Tsp of Cinnamon Sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 100C
Cut the end off your apple & Slice it into thin slices using a sharp knife & when you get to the seeds just pop them out. You can core the apples first but honestly I found this ok to do without having to do this step. You can use a mandolin but I don’t have one so a knife works well just try to make them similar size. But don’t stress if they aren’t perfect
Pop into a bowl and dust with 1/2 tsp of Cinnamon Sugar and mix around then pop them onto a lined baking sheet, I added about a 1/4-1/2 more cinnamon sugar on top at this point
Bake for about 2 hrs 15 mins flipping over half way through. This will depend on how thick you make them but you can take one out and leave it on the bench for a few minutes and see if its crispy enough. They get more crispy as you leave them to cool so this is a great method to test them. I read this one on a blog but can’t remember who it was but such a great tip!
Once baked leave to cool and enjoy

Recipe Note
- You can make as many of these as you like, just double the recipe for 2 apples etc
- I like to use pink lady but you can use whatever apples are your fav
- You do not need any oil for this at all the low temp is drying out the apples so you don't need the oil
- You could do this with other fruits too like pears
